We Are Open in Libertyville, IL!
Our new meal-packing site, at 742 E. Park Avenue (Hwy 176) in Libertyville, Illinois, is now open, as of November 14! In fact, in the first week, more than 1,000 volunteers packed 216,000+ meals!
Thanks to generous supporters, the dream is a reality. Less than a year ago, we announced a bold plan to open a third meal-packing site in Chicagoland. Now, together with sites in Aurora and Schaumburg, the site in Libertyville will enable our Illinois sites to feed 90,000 children every day for a year—and accommodate 300,000 volunteers in Chicagoland.
