Third-Party Evaluation of FMSC by Excellence in Giving

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) continually strives for greater excellence. With that purpose, we engaged an independent philanthropy firm, Excellence in Giving (EIG) of Colorado Springs, Colo., to evaluate FMSC from the perspective of a major donor. EIG advises some of the nation’s largest philanthropy investments. The evaluation was conducted by EIG’s Director of Research, Paul T. Penley, Ph.D., and returned on October 19, 2012. It focused on the leadership, strategy, finances, impact and communication/technology of FMSC. Overall, the evaluation gave FMSC exceptional reviews, while offering recommendations for improvements, which our leadership team and board are discussing and implementing.
