Dear Friend of FMSC,
In the Philippines, one out of every four mothers will lose a child, often to hunger-related diseases; eight percent will lose more than one. Rachel Padios lost her 11-month-old daughter Ian Mae to dehydration. Another daughter Mae Ann seemed close behind, weighing only 11 pounds at two years old. Thanks to food sent from Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), Mae Ann rebounded. Physically restored, she now approaches 30 pounds.
Mae Ann will turn four years old this summer and continues to grow and gain strength. Similarly, FMSC will turn 25 this year and continues to expand its reach and impact. Both birthdays are only happening because of your support!
Ten years ago (2003) we could only provide 3 million meals a year. Now with more than 565,000 volunteers who help package and ship food, as well as donors who help pay for ingredients, we are able to provide more than 133 million meals to hungry children, like Mae Ann, in more than 70 countries.
Today, we’re able to respond more quickly to the needs and concerns of our 200 partnering organizations. For example:
- When our partners ask for help not only feeding communities, but also developing them, we connect them with sister organizations for solutions with clean water and improved agriculture—all to break the cycle of poverty and build prosperity.
- We support micro-enterprise, buying handmade crafts from local artisans for a fair wage and reselling them in our FMSC
MarketPlace. Profits then go toward
more ingredients for
more food for
more children.
- We are stretching dollars by opening doors between distribution partners geographically close to each other—saving tens of thousands of dollars in shipping costs and manual labor.
Our ability to respond quickly to world needs, control cost, and work efficiently has earned FMSC high ratings and seals of approval from charity evaluators. More important, we’ve been able to feed more children, thanks to your support.
Join us in looking ahead to our next 25 years of serving the littlest and least among us, like Mae Ann. Together, we’ll respond to our partners’ needs and God’s call to feed His children.
Help us continue to grow and expand our reach, making more birthday celebrations possible across the world!
Onward in His name,

Mark Crea, Executive Director
P.S. Although many thousands of miles may separate you and the children you help feed, your generosity ships God’s love across the globe, connecting you forever!
“More than 99.97% of FMSC meal shipments have reached their destination safely.”
“Only 2% of charities we rate have received at least 7 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Feed My Starving Children outperforms most other charities in America,” said a letter from Ken Berger, Charity Navigator’s President & CEO in early November. “This ‘exceptional’ designation differentiates FMSC from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.“
