Dear Friends,
It seems like yesterday I took my last anti-malaria pill. I can't believe it's already been a few months since we returned from Haiti.
While in Haiti, we stayed at the same mission where baby Moses lives. If you’ve seen our video at a packing session, you probably remember him. (If you haven’t seen it yet, visit our Video Library.) You should see Moses today (photo at right)! He has grown up on Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) meals and is an incredibly healthy preschooler. I believe God has special plans for him.
We were in Haiti at the end of August, and children were getting ready to start school. But getting an education in Haiti is very different than getting educated in the United States. Going to school is a huge privilege in Haiti, and thousands of children simply do not have that opportunity. They don’t have a bus that picks them up or a parent who drives a car to drop them off. Most children walk - for hours - to get to school.
Most arrive with empty stomachs.
But with your support, FMSC meals can help children in nine separate mission schools get one meal a day while at school. We have requests for 2.3 million meals for Haitian students this school year.
This school year, to provide these requested meals, we are asking for your support. We have been blessed with your prayers and packing support. Please consider how you can help us fund the meals these children so desperately need. At just 19 cents per meal, it is possible.

Thank you for caring for children and students around the world. I ask you to consider giving now so that all school children can thrive as Moses now does!
God’s peace,
Gwendolyn Cowle
