Packing Room UpdateAs you know, FMSC is working diligently to ensure the safety of staff and volunteers while continuing to pack and ship meals. This week, we took another step. A limited number of FMSC employees are now packing meals at each permanent site. We have modified our packing stations to comply with social distancing guidelines. At this time, we are testing this new solution with employees only. We appreciate that volunteers are eager to return, but we ask that you do not visit sites during the test. This is a first step in re-implementing packing at our sites. We will continue to pack meals by machine and in partnership with inmates at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Faribault, MN. To date, we have shipped more than 4.5 million meals using these alternative methods. Read more » MobilePack™ Update After much discussion and prayer, we made the decision to postpone MobilePack events through September 30, 2020. We continue to work toward a solution that will allow us to re-activate MobilePack operations in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines.

We will not stop feeding kids. But we need your help. Our alternative packing solutions will allow us to pack 15 million meals each month—only half of our original goal for this year. And, these methods will cost an additional $750,000 each month. We can only pack as many meals as we can fund.
