Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit
Each meal you pack, fund and pray over equips FMSC partners to do transformative work around the world. Hunger relief is usually just part of what our partners do — but food is the foundation for so much more.
New global hunger data reveals a crisis measured in the youngest lives
The 2026 Global Report on Food Crises found 35.5 million children ages 6–59 months were acutely malnourished across the 23 countries and territories analyzed.
Babies. Toddlers. Preschoolers.
Nearly 10 million of these children were severely acutely malnourished — the most dangerous form, requiring urgent treatment.
Global hunger | Worldwide

World Hunger Day (May 28) is a global moment to recognize the reality of hunger around the world. But the newest hunger data points to something more urgent than awareness: children whose bodies need food now.
The 2026 Global Report on Food Crises shows hunger and malnutrition remain severe, concentrated and persistent in crises around the world. Famine was identified in two separate contexts in the same year — a first in the report’s history.
And even the numbers we have do not tell the whole story.
In some crisis zones, conflict, displacement and restricted access make hunger harder to fully measure. Some hunger is counted. Some hunger is missed. None of it can wait.
Around the world, FMSC meals support work including:
- Disaster response and severe malnutrition recovery
- Education initiatives
- Women’s empowerment
- Human trafficking rescue and recovery
- Long-term sustainable development
- So much more
