Another year of impact. Here is a letter from FMSC J.J. Slag to celebrate the hope found in the 2024/2025 annual report. To read the full report, visit fmsc.org/annualreport.

A new chapter of hope

My first international trip as CEO of Feed My Starving Children took me to the Dominican Republic, where I met a little girl I will never forget. She is thriving in an orphanage for children with disabilities because of FMSC MannaPack® meals that you provide. From her wheelchair, she reached out, took my face in her hands and looked straight into my eyes. In that moment, I felt the full weight of this mission — and the urgency of what you and I are called to do together.

This year marks a new chapter for me, but FMSC remains steadily laser-focused on our mission to feed God’s children hungry in body and spirit.

Because of you, we provided over 375 million meals in the 2024/25 fiscal year. The number is significant, but our vision is so much bigger than just meals. Food is the foundation — the starting point — for long-term change and community development.

We will always respond to urgent hunger. But we’re also committed to building sustainable solutions alongside trusted partners. Hope grows when communities are equipped to thrive.

In the Philippines last year, we launched an initiative that combines food assistance with local, community-based training and opportunity. We saw remarkable progress in a similar program in Uganda: With FMSC support, an entire village is working together to build a future of lasting stability — not just daily survival.

Through FMSC MarketPlace™, more than 2,200 artisans and producers earned an income to support their families. And across the U.S., 258 MobilePack™ events brought communities together with a common purpose to turn hunger into hope.

Every part of this work is rooted in prayer and trust in God’s provision. I see that faith lived out through you: our generous donors, dedicated volunteers, passionate staff and courageous partners who serve in the world’s most challenging hunger hotspots.

I keep returning to that moment in the Dominican Republic. One child. One moment. One life forever changed because we chose to act together.

As we look forward, I invite you to join us — praying, donating, volunteering and sharing the FMSC mission.

I am honored to walk this journey with you.

With hope and purpose,
J.J. Slag
