Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit

Their Faces Stay in my Head...

“Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children." --Matthew 14:19-21

I can't believe it's almost New Year's Eve, and what a year it has been!

I honestly feel like God is allowing me to, like the disciples, watch as he feeds his children.

And then, I get the privilege of meeting some of those whose hearts he has stirred to sacrificially give -- paying for the grocery bill or volunteering to pack the meals or both, and we experience the real joy of being a part of this extraordinary miracle together (literally feeding 745,496 children a day)!

The faces of these children are ones that stay in my head -- the ones that would not eat without this food keep me calling, writing and meeting with whoever I can because they need to eat and we have the food they need.

Will you join us in helping to get more of these children fed?

At 22 cents a meal, we can all help.

And maybe as we make our New Years Resolutions, we will commit to packing meals once a week, a month or just more than we did last year.

And maybe we can give more, to feed a few more kids -- let's keep doing it until they are all fed.

Happy New Year -- may God surround you with his love, joy and peace!

Thanks to a generous matching gift, every dollar you give to feed kids through Dec. 31 will be doubled up to $150,000!
